Just as Apple said it would during its WWDC keynote, streaming service Sling TV has come to the Apple TV. The service allows people to watch live TV on several channels over the Internet, without the need for a cable subscription.
Sling TV service starts at $20 per month, giving you access to channels like ESPN, AMC, and Comedy Central. You can also add a number of extras, including kids programs, Spanish language TV, and more for just $5 more per month per package. Sling also offers access to HBO and Cinemax for an extra $15 and $10, respectively.
To celebrate the app launch, Sling will offer you a 32GB Apple TV for $89 when you prepay three months of the service, which will cost you $60. While the up-front price, $149, is the normal of an Apple TV, it’s still a nice two-for-one deal on an interesting service.
